(Work from home with frequent travel)

Location: Hybrid (Work from home + travel to campgrounds) - must be based in Upper Midwest

Compensation: $60,000–$80,000 base + performance bonuses
Reports to: Owner/CEO
Start date: Flexible, Spring/Summer 2025 preferred

Starlight Campgrounds is a growing portfolio of seasonal RV campgrounds in the Upper Midwest. Since 2022, we’ve grown from one to three campgrounds (now totaling 900 RV sites), with a dedicated team of 60+ seasonal and small year-round staff. We’re profitable, expanding, and focused on building something both operationally excellent and downright fun.

🧠 About the Role

We’re looking for a high-agency, operations-minded leader to be the CEO’s right hand. You’ll manage and improve systems across our campgrounds, support seasonal teams, lead cross-functional projects, and help scale the business with autonomy and impact.

This is a high-trust, high-ownership position with lots of variety. No two days will look the same—and we like it that way.

🛠 What You’ll Be Doing

Operations & Admin

• Develop playbooks, SOPs, and checklists to streamline campground operations

• Oversee compliance, licensing, insurance audits, and tax filings

• Support HR processes: onboarding, payroll coordination, seasonal hiring logistics

• Track performance and prepare internal reporting

Systems & Software

• Implement and manage operational tools (QuickBooks, Deputy, ADP, etc.)

• Train and support team adoption of tech solutions

• Liaise with IT support and vendors as needed

Team & Field Support

• Conduct site visits (especially during peak season) to support campground managers

• Support seasonal hiring and staff development

• Help plan and execute capital improvement projects (Wi-Fi upgrades, infrastructure repairs, etc.)

Guest Experience & Brand

• Oversee quality of guest communications and social media presence

• Support newsletters, maps, signage, and online content

• Experienced in hospitality, operations, logistics, or field management

• Familiar with campground or property management

Bonus points if you have:

• Management experience in outdoor hospitality

• A love for the outdoors, road trips, or camping culture

• Experience working or staying at RV campgrounds

📍 Where We’re Based

We operate in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. You’re a good fit if you live near a city in the Upper Midwest (Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Madison, Traverse City, or Grand Rapids) so you can easily fly or drive to the campgrounds.
